Alcove Secures Landmark County Wide Care Technology Contract With Suffolk County Council

We are delighted to announce that we're partnering with Suffolk County Council, Rethink Partners & Provide CIC to deliver innovative care technology services to people in Suffolk over the next 3 years.

From July, the Cassius service (as we are calling it) will give social work practitioners, occupational therapists and other front line professionals, new ways to support people to live better and independent lives.

Suffolk County Council has worked hard over the last couple of years to develop its vision of digital care and believes the partnership with Alcove will set it apart from other local authorities, support better outcomes and deliver significant savings for adult social care provision.

After a lengthy procurement process, Alcove was chosen alongside partners Rethink Partners, a change management consultancy, and Provide CIC, which delivers health and care services in East Anglia and will provide the monitoring service. The service will be delivered over the next three years, with the contract running until 2027.

Initially the service will launch with a high impact, targeted range of technology that will continue to grow into the full Cassius collection. This means that the technology can be customised to meet people’s needs and to address individual challenges which will help them live independently at home for longer.

A Star Is Born – Welcome Cassius:

“Cassius is more than just technology to meet people’s needs – it provides innovative and agile ways for the people in Suffolk, who need care and support, to continue to live well in their own homes.

“Our partnership also brings together a balance of expertise around technology, culture change, data and information, community engagement and monitoring to ensure people will find the service provides them with confidence and empowers those that we are looking to support, while aligning with expectations around how technology can be used."
