Summary:

As the Head of Business Development, you will be a pivotal driver in delivering Alcove’s 2030 Business Plan, shaping and leading our strategic growth agenda across three core divisions: TEC, Virtual Care, and CallConnect247. Each being growth businesses with their own P&L, targets and product offers.

This is a senior leadership role that blends hands-on business development with strategic oversight—balancing the art of deal-making with the science of building and empowering a high-performing team.

You will take ownership of large-scale, high-value public and private sector bids, while also establishing scalable revenue growth frameworks and long-term partnerships. Your remit extends from spearheading major tenders and national frameworks, through to strengthening mid-tier pipeline performance and optimising market penetration strategies across the UK. Until the team is built it is all about YOU and rolling up sleeves getting stuck in and working closely with our Head of Customer Success and Head of Client Development to be the leading work winning unit in TEC.

This role demands commercial foresight, operational rigour, and a proven ability to bid, price and close complex deals in health, social care, and/or smart technology sectors.
