Alcove wins 10-year Care Technology Partnership with Royal Borough of Greenwich

Alcove Group are beyond delighted to have been selected following an OJEU procurement as the long-term care technology partner for the Royal Borough of Greenwich – one of the most progressive and ambitious local authorities in the country.

This bold 10-year contract will deliver a brand-new Digital Health and Care Technology Service designed to help residents stay safe, well and independent at home, with the support of simple but powerful digital tools.

Why this matters

Royal Greenwich is setting the bar for what modern care can look like. This fully integrated service brings together the Council, Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, South East London Integrated Care Board, and Rethink Partners to create a best-in-class model of digital care. Together, we will roll out:

  • 🏠 Smart home monitoring (video doorbells, sensors, fall detection)

  • ❤️ Remote health monitoring (tablets and connected devices)

  • 📳 Personalised digital tools (voice assistants, reminders, daily support)

  • 👩⚕️ Early help and prevention (using data and AI to spot changes sooner)

Designed with residents, for residents, the service has been shaped by over 250 local people, carers and professionals to make sure it meets real needs.

Alcove’s vision for Greenwich

For Alcove, this partnership is about more than technology. It’s about creating the ultimate blended service with Health, where digital tools, frontline care, and AI-driven insights combine to transform lives.

Over the next decade, Alcove will:

  • Deliver a progressive, AI and data-led service model

  • Embed a best-in-class Technology Enabled Care (TEC) offer

  • Work hand in hand with health services to create a seamless, joined-up approach

  • Push the boundaries of what digital care can achieve nationally

This is a flagship programme — one to watch as a blueprint for the future of digital health and care in the UK.

Words from Greenwich

Councillor Mariam Lolavar, Cabinet Member for Health, Adult Social Care and Borough of Sanctuary, summed it up perfectly:

“This is all about making life easier for people in Royal Greenwich. Whether someone needs a little extra support after coming out of hospital, reassurance for their family, or help with daily tasks, digital tools like video doorbells, voice assistants, and tablets can make a big difference.”

Looking forward

We are proud to be on this journey with Royal Greenwich and its partners, and cannot wait to demonstrate what’s possible when progressive leadership, joined-up health and care, and cutting-edge digital innovation come together.
